Chicago Bears Training Camp Theme Days Announced

Chicago Bears 2012 Training Camp or as the official Bears website calls it, “RC Cola Chicago Bears Training Camp presented by Chase ” is just days away.  Players report on Wednesday and the first practice is Thursday!The Daily Journal announced some upcoming theme nights for Chicago Bears training camp down in Bourbonnais.  Here are the themes and dates:

Sunday, July 29 — 2:30 p.m. Comcast Hispanic Day
Join the Chicago Bears and celebrate Comcast Hispanic Day at Bears Training Camp. In addition to the kids activities, autographs and giveaways there will be a live radio remote from La Ley.

Wednesday, Aug 1 – 8:00 p.m. Movie Night at ONU
Hosted on the grounds of Bears Training Camp, the Chicago Bears welcome fans of all ages to RC Cola Movie Night on Wednesday, August 1st. This free showing of HUGO promises to be fun for the whole family. Doors to the grounds will open at 7:00 pm, the Jewel-Osco Kids Zone will be open prior to show time, which will begin promptly at dusk (approx 8:00 pm), weather permitting. Special giveaways will be distributed to the first 100 fans upon entrance, and free beverage samples will also be handed out.

Friday, Aug. 3 — 7 p.m. Comcast Family Fest at Soldier Field
Join the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field on Friday, August 3 for Comcast Bears Family Fest presented by Chase. Get a look at the team as they take Soldier Field for the first time this season. Click here for ticket information.

Sunday, Aug. 5 — 2 p.m. Walgreens Youth Football Day
Youth football players and cheerleaders are invited down to Bears Training Camp on this day to wear their team uniforms/jerseys. Youth football organizations and cheerleaders who attend can enter their information for a chance to win prizes, including Bears autographed memorabilia, Bears apparel and more.

Tuesday Aug. 7 – Ladies Day
The Chicago Bears invite women of all ages to come out to Bears Training Camp and join us for Ladies Day on Tuesday, August 7! In addition to our daily activities, ladies can enjoy on-site salon and spa services, summer hair styling, arts and crafts, special giveaways and more!

Saturday, Aug. 11 — 2 p.m. Subway Run With Staley
The 7th Annual Subway Run with Staley event for kids ages 14 and under features the official mascot of the Chicago Bears, Staley Da Bear! Race participants will run a one-mile loop around the campus of ONU. A kiddy dash will be available for kids five years and under at Ward Field before the one-mile run. All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal. In addition, Staley will perform his very own First and Goal School Show. The first 50 kids to register will receive a Kids Only Autograph pass to a future date. Registration information coming soon!

Sunday, Aug. 12 — 2:30 p.m. Armed Forces Day
Armed Forces Day is dedicated to the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country. Special reserved bleacher seating will be available for those who dress in uniform. If you are interested in being part of Armed Forces Day, please contact the USO of Illinois for more information.

Monday, Aug. 13 — 7 p.m. Family Fest at ONU
Come out to Ward Field and watch the Bears practice under the lights. Pre-practice festivities will begin at 6:00 pm with practice set to start at 7:00 pm. A spectacular fireworks display will take place after practice.

Besides the theme days, the Bears will have the Jewel Osco Kid Zone for kids ages 4-12 open daily and Kids Only Autograph Sessions, tentatively scheduled for 7/27, 7/31, 8/1, 8/2, 8/5, 8/7, 8/11, 8/14. All dates are subject to change.   Check back with the Bears website for more information.
