Brandon Marshall and Adrian Peterson Exchange Jerseys

In case you missed this, following the Vikings’ 21-14 win over the Bears, superstars Brandon Marshall and Adrian Peterson signed and exchanged their game jerseys.

At one point during the game, I actually tweeted that these two should just go mano y mano to settle the outcome of the game.  Both had spectacular performances as Peterson racked up 154 yards and 2 TD’s while Marshall had 10 catches for 160 yards and a TD.

It’s not the first time Marshall has done this, exchanging with Calvin Johnson earlier this season.

It’s a pretty cool tradition if you ask me.  What do you think?  Do you like the idea of mingling with the enemy?

I don’t see this as mingling with the enemy. When two players give everything they’ve got into the game, and only leave blood & sweat on the field it’s just mutual respect for competitors and champions. The same thing happened last year in the playoffs when the Ravens beat the Texans. Arian Foster signed and swapped jersies with Ray Lewis. I like the tradition, it brings a higher level of sportsmanship and class. And to see this between the Bears and Vikings, and Bears and Lions (see Calvin Johnson sign/swap) is good for the game. Now, I’m not sure if we’ll see this with the Packers…I don’t know if I’m ready for that yet.
