A major thorn in the Bears side for the past seven years, in the best rivalry in the NFL, was released on Friday.  Charles Woodson who made a living tormenting the Bears and in particular Jay Cutler was released from the Green Bay Packers and gave the Packers 10 million dollars to play with.

Woodson at age 36 ,was the 2nd oldest defensive back in the league behind only Ronde Barber ,was a very impactful player for the last seven seasons in Green Bay.  Woodson was a huge part of the defense that found another level to achieve in their Super Bowl run.  Woodson has 55 career interceptions with 11 of them returned for touchdowns,  but only one this past season and of course it was against Cutler.

Woodson always seemed to save his best games for the Bears so to say he won’t be missed is an understatement.
