Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman had breakfast with the media at the NFL Owner’s Meeting this morning and had a lot to share.   Thanks to the Sun Times’ Adam Jahns and his outstanding tweeting, we gained a lot of insight from the new Chicago Bears head coach.

I’m really interested to see what the Bears do with the read-option.  It scares me a little to think of Cutler, who has a history of concussions,  getting a fresh one without the assistance of J’Marcus Webb.

Speaking of Webb, Tresty had a great quote on the right tackle candidate, “Seen him do a lot of good things. We just need to get him to do good things more of the time.”

Trestman still hasn’t finished his playbook, but has enough to get through minicamps.  He also gushed about Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte.  He expects Alshon Jeffery to be a starter and projects Evan Rodriguez as a fullback.

Wow, that’s the most insight we’ve gotten from the Bears head coach since he arrived in town. Who knew all you needed to do was feed him to get him to spill the beans!?!?
