2012 #78– Jake Locker QB- Tennessee Titans- 2012 stat line 177-314 2,176 10 Td 11 Int  Locker started the last 9 weeks of the season starting with Week #10 (the week after the Chicago Bears owned Nashville) Locker is the future at QB for now for the Titans, but he could really use some help from two guys this season. If Chris Johnson can be anywhere as good as he was three seasons ago it will help ease the pressure on Locker.  Secondly, a Kenny Britt season where he plays more than he sits would be a tremendous target for Locker.

Retro #78- 2002 Marc Bulger QB- St Louis Rams-  Bulger filled in for Kurt Warner while he was hurt and filled in so nicely that he became the starter next season.  Bulger even as a rookie had a 14/6 TD/Int ratio.  Bulger was a top 10 fantasy QB for a nice stretch in the 2000’s but never was able to make the Rams offense the same show on turf  that Warner was able to accomplish.  Getting hit a lot probably ended his career a lot earlier than it should have thanks to Mike Martz.

Look ahead #78

ESPN– Tony Romo- The fantasy QB that can win weeks for you or totally kill any chances for winning.  In dynasty leagues during the offseason it’s amazing how many trade offers you receive from Romo owners with comments that say he’s a top 10 QB, but everyone knows he’s bad the later the season gets which is during the fantasy playoffs….NO THANKS

CBS Sportsline– Giovani Benard RB Cincinnati Bengals- Marvin Lewis seems to like this guy and he’s been getting picked high in rookie drafts.  Benard will see action behind BenJarvus Green-Ellis but it will be interesting to see how much action.  We will see first hand opening day when the Bengals visit Soldier Field and the Chicago Bears.
