Fantasy Focus: The Dog Days Of Summer #51

Jun 21, 2013; San Francisco, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick prepares to throw the first pitch before the start of the game between the San Francisco Giants and the Miami Marlins at AT

#51-2012 Colin Kaepernick- Kaepernick didn’t start until the worst game I watched all season in Week #12 against the Chicago Bears. Kaepernick went on a magic ride that almost won the Super Bowl.  Fantasy wise I really believe that defenses will catch up to the 49ers and Seahawks offense and will shut them down more than most think.  I take Kaepernick late but I’m probably in the minority with this belief.

Retro-2002 #51- Michael Bennett-RB Minnesota Vikings- This was by far Bennett’s best season in the pro’s rushing for over 1,200 yards 5 touchdowns and 350 yards rushing and a touchdown. Bennett was in the league until 2010 but 2002 was his high point.

Looking Ahead #51

ESPN-Antonio Brown-WR Pittsburgh Steelers With Mike Wallace in Miami someone will become a huge fantasy star and ESPN is counting on Brown to be that guy.  This will be a huge chance for Brown in 2013.

CBS-Eddie Lacy -RB Green Bay Packers- Lacy will be given the great opportunity to be the starter for the Packers offense. I don’t think Lacy is special but Aaron Rodger is so drafting Lacy in the middle rounds will be a solid pick for a #2 running back.
