Defensive Tackle Sedrick Ellis didn’t report to camp, and according to reports he is planning on retiring from the NFL instead of reporting to Bears Camp.
DT Sedrick Ellis did not report to #Bears training camp. He intends to retire.

The Bears organization seems like the loser financially in this deal with some of his contract guaranteed.
Ellis received a $285K signing bonus and $500K of his $1 mil, 1 yr deal was guaranteed. Would imagine Bears would pursue the signing bonus.

Ellis was the 7th overall pick of the 2008 draft and his career was quite disappointing and now he goes away with barely a whisper. Ellis was the only player on the Bears roster not to report to camp.
So much for the new start with the Bears for Ellis! Only 45 days until Bears play the Bengals!
