#24-2012 Phillip Rivers-QB San Diego Chargers- Something happened to Rivers after the 2010 season in which he became a turnover machine, while Rivers puts up good stats they haven’t approached the 2009 or 2010 totals. If you wait for a QB to say the fifth round you are more than likely going to be lucky to get Rivers and more likely going to get someone like Jay Cutler.  Rivers is ok in fantasy, but he is no longer a top 10 QB.

Retro #24-2002 Hines Ward-WR Pittsburgh Steelers 2002 was Ward’s best season catching 112 balls for 1,329 yards and 12 touchdowns. Ward was a solid third receiver and flex guy for most of the 2000’s but 2002 was one of his rare #1 fantasy wide receiver seasons of his long career.

Looking Ahead #24

ESPN-Percy Harvin-WR Seattle Seahawks Harvin will not be playing when the season starts, but if you are able to pick him up late and save him for the playoff run it could be a  championship decision.

CBS-Julio Jones WR Atlanta Falcons Jones is who I’m picking to end up being the #1 fantasy receiver at the end of this season. He’s in a great offense, and he’s entering his 3rd season after two very good seasons.  The sky is the limit!
