Help Wanted: Cover The News Desk for Bear Goggles On

facebooktwitterreddit

Because of my busy schedule, including my pesky “day job,” I’ve realized I can’t be in two places at once.  While I’m sitting in budget meetings and project reviews, Bears news is breaking.  To help provide the absolute best Bears coverage out there, Bear Goggles On is looking for eager staffers to join our staff as News Desk contributors.

Basically, if you’re available to monitor the news via Twitter and other social media and able to put together a couple of quick posts during the weekdays, this is an ideal opening to get your foot in the door in online sports media.  This is an entry level position and while there is no pay, candidates that perform well will always be considered for paying gigs within the FanSided Network.

Applicants should be available to cover 3-4 hour shifts during the day/evening and should have a solid command of the English language.

Skills Require:

-Self-starter
-Strong use of grammar, punctuation and sentence structure
-Basic understanding of SEO (search engine optimization) but we can help with this
-Reliable

Responsibilities:

-Monitor relevant team news outlets during your shift, including Twitter and Facebook
-Recognize news-worthy information and provide a short, informative news post to the site (200-300 words, in and out)
-Continue to monitor team news throughout your shift and follow up on any stories until your shift is over
-Provide at least one post during your shift

With the start of the regular season right around the corner, we’re always looking for opinionated and well informed Bears fans to join the team as staff writers and columnists.  If you have Bears thoughts and can consistently produce at least one weekly post, you might be right for our team.

Should you be interested in joining the team in either capacity, send me an e-mail at beargoggles.boomer@gmail.com with the Subject Line: Help Wanted and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks and…

BEAR DOWN!!!
