The Bears trail at the half 20-7 to the New Orleans Saints. If you needed an omen to the first half look no further than the first play on offense on both the Bears first two drives. On the first drive, Matt Forte fumbled a toss to him that the Jay Cutler recovered to force a 3 and out, and on the second drive Cutler was sacked and fumbled which led to a Saints field goal.
The Bears defense held its own for the first quarter, but in the second quarter Jimmy Graham arrived and is already over 100 yards receiving with his 7 catches which led to two Pierre Thomas touchdown catches, the second catch at the end of the half on a screen pass was a back breaker.
The Bears offense was hard to watch until their last drive when plays by Martellus Bennett and Forte finally got the ball moving, and Alshon Jeffrey finished off the drive with a big 3rd down catch and finally the first Bears touchdown of the afternoon.
The Bears defense will have to come up big on the first drive of the second half, and Marc Trestman and staff will need to figure out Ryan’s defense in a hurry to get the Bears back into this game at Soldier Field.
BEAR DOWN!!!
