Marc Trestman and Mel Tucker were simply outcoached by Sean Payton and Rob Ryan. The Bears OL failed to pick up the Saints blitz early on and spotted the Saints a short field and 13 points. Fortunately for the Bears, the defense keep the Drew Brees for scoring touchdowns… and if it weren’t for Alshon Jeffery’s  4th quarter heroics, a comeback wouldn’t have been thinkable, until a major gaffe by the defense’s signal caller.

The 4th Phase game ball would have gone to Lance Briggs… but the Pro Bowl linebacker and the defense’s undisputed leader, jumped offsides on a 4th and 1 that ultimately killed any comeback attempt. Briggs was having a spectacular overall game but made a bonehead play that is very unlike him.

One the other side, Alshon Jeffery had another monster game. Jeffery set a franchise record with 218 receiving yards. The sky is the limit for the kid and if he keep his head on straight and continue to work at being a great receiver, he can shatter team records.
