12. Green Bay Packers (5-2) (8)  Mike McCarthy doesn’t look so smart when #12 is on the sidelines, does he? If Rodgers misses any significant time, the NFC North goes up for grabs.

11. Chicago Bears (4-3) (13) The offense has finally come around, but that defense… Oy.

10. Dallas Cowboys (5-4) (11) Survived a scare from the Vikings.  They’re the NFC version of the Chargers – just so inconsistent.

9. Cincinnati Bengals (6-3) (7) Just when you thought Andy Dalton and the Bengals offense was ready to take off… THUD!

8. Detroit Lions (5-3) (11) Well rested and ready to head to Soldier Field to try to take control of the NFC North and break the three-way tie at the top of the division.

7. New England Patriots (7-2) (10) Would someone just please give Tom Brady a high-five???

6. San Francisco 49ers (6-2) (6) A difficult second half schedule will make them earn a playoff spot.

Nov 3, 2013; Seattle, WA, USA; Seattle Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka (4) is embraced by holder Jon Ryan (9, right), tight end Zach Miller (86) and long snapper Clint Gresham (49) after making a game-winning 27-yard field goal against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during overtime at CenturyLink Field. 5. New Orleans Saints (6-2) (4) If you get Drew Brees and the Saints outside the Superdome they become mere mortals.  Except Jimmy Graham.

4. Seattle Seahawks (7-1) (5) No other team has flirted with danger more than the Seahawks. This could prove costly when games actually matter against real team.

3. Indianapolis Colts (6-2) (3) Andrew Luck with 10 comeback wins in a season and a half. This kid is impressive as hell.

2. Denver Broncos (7-1) (2) I’m kinda surprised they didn’t just name Peyton Manning interim head coach.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) (1) They’ll take an extra week prepare for a Week 11 trip to Denver for the first of two in three weeks against the Broncos that will likely define their season.
