It’s the biggest stage for two of the NFL’s biggest teams in a crucial Monday Night Football matchup.  The 6-6 Bears face the 7-5 Cowboys with playoff implications for both teams.  Depending on what happens between the Lions and Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday, the Bears could truly be in a win or else mode, trailing the Lions by a game in the standings and another in the tiebreaker with just three to play after this week.

Let’s see what our team of writers thinks about the matchup with their weekly predictions:

DeCon (6-6)

I am going to kick my field goal on 1st down and not waste any time.  The Bears must win, the Bears will win.  There is too much heart on this team to lose at home on Monday night.

Bears 24 – Cowboys 23

Boomer (6-6)

It’s a backs-against-the-wall game for the Chicago Bears, whose playoffs hopes are dimming.  It has all the makings of a shootout with a couple of the worst defenses in the league set to square off.  They’ll have to battle each other and the elements, with the forecast calling for temperatures dipping into the single digits and subzero wind chills.  The Bears will retire Mike Ditka’s #89 during halftime and it will take a Ditka-esque tirade to rally the Bears past the Cowboys, who have too many weapons for the Bears depleted defense to slow down.

Cowboys 27 – Bears 24

Tooch (5-6)

This game will come down to Tony Romo vs. the Bears defense.  Romo, much like the Bears’ Jay Cutler, can be wildly inconsistent, but ultimately has a fantastic arm and great weapons in Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and Terrance Williams.  He’ll have one of his best games of the season and torch the Bears’ secondary for 300+ yards and three touchdowns.

Cowboys 34 – Bears 21
