Other important games to watch…

If the Dallas wins at Washington, the NFC East will be decided in Week 17 between the Eagles and Cowboys, making Sunday night’s game between the Eagles and the Bears basically only for NFC playoff seeding.  If the Cowboys win, would the Eagles rest their guys to gear up for the money game the next week?

This game is all about seeding and part of my master plan to get the Bears to the Super Bowl.  You’d love to see the Panthers win this game and the final week to take the NFC South.  That would mean that you get the Saints out of that cushy dome for a round 1 matchup.  How would Drew Brees look at a cold, snowy Soldier Field in January?

Seattle Seahawks vs St Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers vs Atlanta Falcons

I’m lumping both of these into the same category.  It’s really unlikely that either of these games are an upset special.  The Seahawks would have to lose both of their final two games, both at home by the way, to lose the #1 seed.  I’d say that slot is pretty muched sewed up.

San Fran would have to lose both of their final two and the Cardinals would have to win their last two to fall out of a playoff spot.  That’s another longshot.  The biggest question for the Niners is where they end up heading, Chicago, Green Bay, Detroit, Philly or Dallas?
