Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery’s meteoric rise isn’t limited locally.  Jeffery has gotten a lot of national attention for his tremendous season.  A lot of experts thought Jeffery was among the biggest snubs for the upcoming Pro Bowl when Jeffery was conspicuously left off the 2014 squad.  But there is a chance to recognize Jeffery for his great season with the VIZIO Top Value Performer award.

Jeffery is among five candidates who are up for the award, which recognizes the players whose on-field performance most exceeds the value of their contract.  The competition is stiff.  Here’s a breakdown of the finalists and a little blurb on each:
