Nix is the prototypical run stopper for a 3-4 defense, but he would give the Bears defense a big presence they haven’t had since Ted Washington.  Most experts have him falling securely to Pittsburgh in the first round, but that could change depending on how seriously teams look at his 2013 injury and performance.  Nix carries a bit of a risk because of this, but also gives the ability to trade down in the first round and still fill a huge hole in their defense.  If the Bears do draft Nix, they would need to complement him with some true pass rushers in order for him to truly be effective.
