This just in, according to Brad Biggs, the Bears have signed defensive end Jared Allen to a 4 year deal. We now know why the Bears were freeing up cap space by adjusting Jay Cutler’s contract the other day. Phil Emery is not playing games in free agency. The defensive line was the biggest problem last year in both getting to the quarterback and stopping the run. We know that Jared Allen can do both. Even though Jared Allen probably only has a few seasons left in the tank I think the Bears can get the most out of him.

Just think, if history repeats itself, the Packers will probably sign him next after he is done in Chicago. I think this is a great move by Phil Emery. Tell me what you think in the comments below. Bear down!!!
