The NFL draft will be here before we know it.  Now that Free Agency has settled down, team needs have come into focus.  That could mean only one thing – it’s time for another mock draft!  But rather than us sitting back and throwing darts at the wall, we thought we’d let you join in the fun.  We’ll roll through the draft order and give each team choices based on team needs and the best players available and you’ll vote on the picks for each team. On with the countdown…

9.  Buffalo Bills (6-10)

After a 6-10 season in 2012, the Bills made a coaching change by bringing offensive minded Doug Marrone who had been the Head Coach at Syracuse. He had previously been OC with the New Orleans Saints.  The season started out on a good note by beating the Panthers and Ravens and after four weeks sitting at 2-2. Over the next twelve weeks the Bills struggled, losing two OT games, some close ones and never able to get untracked. Starting rookie QB, EJ Manuel, had some good moments coupled with the typical struggles of a rookie quarterback.

The good news was the defense.  They played tough all season finishing 5th in the league and placing four players to the Pro Bowl.  The offense fell to rank 25th and special teams was 30th.  Off the field it has been a tough time for the Bills.  First, DC Pettine left to take the head coaching job with the Browns, then Hall of Fame Quarterback, Jim Kelly, and a fan favorite is again dealing with cancer. Lastly, their owner, Ralph Wilson, jr passed away at 94.  Truly one of the scions of the NFL, spoke his mind and was a true pioneer of the game.
