  • John Mack

I vote other: Max Bullough – Michigan State (ILB). That is after trading down.

    • Eddie Currie

Trading down, like into the 5th?

      • John Mack

Remember Long had a late 2nd-3rd round grade on him. Bullough is a versatile LB and understands every position on the field. Next major ILB in the league!

unless dix or dennard are not there the Bears must take a chance and take them. we have seen what settling for guys “just as good” in the later rounds has worked out for the bears now is the time to get the best if they are there. screw the “experts” and value over need. they said the same thing last year and long worked out pretty well for the bears. they NEED a safety or corner so for once just take the best one instead of settling.

    Clinton-Dix since Gilbert is gone.

  • Michael Curcio

Even though I agree our safeties on the roster may not have one starter among them, I am still concerned about the interior of our D Line. Paeh, Collins and Ratliff is an under-whelming combination and I am still a major believer that you must start rebuilding in the trenches first.

    • Mike “Boomer” Burzawa

I’m with you. Everyone says that the Bears don’t need DL help, but if you consider that none of the DT’s on their roster, except maybe Lamarr Houston if you consider him sliding inside, are the models of health. Paea had foot issues, Collins coming off ACL and Ratliff had a major hip/groin issue. We learned last year that you can’t have too many DT’s.

    Bears’ Draft:
    1. Aaron Donald, DT / C.J. Mosely, LB
    2. Deone Bucannon, S
    3. Bashaud Breeland, CB
    4. Caraun Reid, DT
    5. Dri Archer, WR/RB / Max Bullough, LB / George Uko, DT
    6. Tre Boston, S
    6. Ross Cockrell, CB

    The two best talents
available to the Bears at #14 is C. J. Mosely and Darqueze Dennard, everybody
else the Bears can find talent comparable to those players in lower rounds.
The most over hyped player in this draft is Aaron Donald. Donald
will be a liability in stopping the run at the NFL level; at 6’0 285 people are
asking for trouble if they draft Donald’s in the first round. Actually, I
think Donald is a luxury pick for a team stock with defensive line talent where
he can be used primarily in pass rushing situations, he will not be an every
down DT in NFL for 16 grueling games. These are my picks if I were
    drafting for the Bears:

1st Round – DB Darqueze Dennard
2nd Round – DT Kelcy Quarles S. Carolina
    3rd Round –SS Deone Buchcanon
4th Round –QB Aaron Murray Georgia
5th Round –DT Daquan Jones Penn State
6th Round –LB Kyle Van Nor BYU
6th Round – DT Jay Bromely Syracuse

    • Mike “Boomer” Burzawa

Kind of surprised that CJ Mosley lasted this long. Might be hard to pass on arguably the top ILB if he’s sitting there.
