Whew! A little too close for me. It seemed like we killed it against the Eagles, but struggled against the perennial losers of the AFC South, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

I don’t think I’m caught up in denial, about the Bear’s weaknesses revealed last night, when I say that the Jaguars are tired of being a joke and will be much improved in 2014.

They seem to be hungry and have good coaching. It also looks like they’ve got the best QB combo in Henne/Bortles, since Cutler/McCown of last season.

I have to admit, I waffled as much as Mitt Romney while I was watching this game. Between (when we were down,) “it’s just the preseason,” and (the fourth quarter,) “hey, these games are important.”

Jordan Palmer looked like the man when he came in the game. I’m not sure who’s going to win the backup position now. As Marc Trestman is not naming one yet anyway.

Can you call someone Mr. Fourth Quarter when they don’t come in until the fourth quarter?

I’m pretty happy that I was able to watch the game live as an out of market Bears fan. It was one of two, ESPN Monday Night Football preseason broadcasts that will take place this year.

I haven’t started making my famous wings yet, I am saving that for the when I have company.

I just hung up all my Bears memorabilia in the new house. I was initially gonna share how whipped I was because my wife was requiring it to come down every week after I published my post-game, but she had a change of heart and will allow it to stay up for the season.

She’ll do anything she can to prevent 6 months of comments about how her lack of support is why anything bad is happening with our Beloved Bears.

Bless her heart.
