The dog days of the offseason are finally behind us now that training camp is underway, just in time for our countdown of the Top 100 Chicago Bears of all time to really heat up.  As we get closer to the season opener, we get closer to naming the #1 Chicago Bear of all time.

The best return man of all time is next up in our countdown of the Top 100 Chicago Bears of all time.  Devin Hester ranks at #22 on our list.  The Bears drafted the dynamic Hester out of the University of Miami in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft.  Hester was technically drafted as a cornerback, but he rarely ever played there in his first couple of seasons.  He made his bones doing what he did best – returning kicks and punts.

More from Bears History

Hester began paying immediate dividends as a rookie.  In his first game as a pro, Hester returned a punt against the Green Bay Packers to put the icing on a 26-0 Bears win at Lambeau.  Hester took the league by storm that season, returning three punts and two kickoffs and a missed field goal for touchdowns during the regular season.  He started off Super Bowl XLI with the fastest touchdown in Super Bowl history, bringing the opening kickoff back for a touchdown.
