Robbie Gould went undrafted out of Penn State. He played for the Patriots and Ravens briefly, and in 2005, when the Bears starting kicker Doug Brien was injured, the Bears signed Gould, and as cliche as it sounds, the rest is history.  As Bears fans, we’re truly lucky to have Robbie Gould. He’s reliable, accurate, and currently, the third-most accurate kicker in NFL history. He’s almost automatic, hitting 86% of his field goals in his career. Gould signing a four-year extension this past season was more integral to the Bears success than you may think. Finding a replacement for Gould would have been incredibly difficult, and when you have a kicker as accurate as Gould, you simply cannot let a talent like that find work elsewhere. Gould has 11 game-winning field goals, and I can guarantee you that number will only increase as his career goes on.
