It’s Game Week at last!  The Bears are preparing to host the Buffalo Bills and there are several interesting matchups to watch on Sunday.

5. Chris Williams vs Bears DT’s

Yes, that Chris Williams, not the little kick returner the Bears just waived.  The former Bears offensive line bust has settled in at Buffalo after a stint with St Louis Rams after being dispatched by the Bears a couple of years ago.  The Bears desperately need to show improvement of their putrid defensive line, so the hope is that Stephen Paea, Jeremiah Ratliff and in some instances Lamarr Houston could take advantage of this matchup to help slow the Bills potent rushing attack and create some pass rush in the interior of the line.

4. Jared Allen vs Cordy Glenn

Jared Allen makes his Chicago Bears debut on Sunday against a very formidable opponent in offensive tackle Cordy Glenn.  Glenn was a second round draft pick in 2012 and notched a very respectable +19.6 from 2013’s PFF grades, good for 12th in the league among offensive tackles.  Allen was very quiet in the preseason as the coaches took care of him to enter the season as healthy as possible.  It’s time to show the motor and pass rush that the Bears paid big free agent $’s to in the offseason.
