Chicago Bears GM Ryan Pace has quite a rebuilding project on his hands.  In the next phase of our Chicago Bears Roster Review, we look at the players who are currently on the Bears roster.  We’ll look back at their 2014 season and look ahead to how they might fit into the team’s plans in 2015.

2014 Review

More from Bear Goggles On

Walters was a member of the Chicago Bears from 2011-2013. During his first stint, he did not do too much besides contribute a bit on special teams. The one thing that comes to mind when I think of Walters is his boneheaded play against the Steelers in 2013. He had a greedy, foolish roughing the punter penalty that almost cost the team the game. As a special teams player, that was the only time his name was ever really mentioned. In 2014, Walters spent time on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad before signing back with the Bears in late November.

2015 Outlook

Honestly, I do not see Walters contributing much to the Bears in the future. However, he is a guy that should be kept around. He is young, but he has had experience on special teams. I doubt he will make that same mistake again. Also, it is good to try out some safeties who can potentially learn from veteran free agent pick up Antrel Rolle. If I was Ryan Pace, I would keep him around for cheap.
