Jordan Howard Nominated for FedEx Ground Player of Week
Chicago Bears rookie running back Jordan Howard is up for another award after a great rushing performance.

This is Howard’s second nomination for the FedEx Ground player of the year award. Howard won the award following Week 8’s 153 yard and one touchdown game against the Minnesota Vikings. Coincidentally, the Bears also won that Vikings game 20-10 on Halloween. Funny enough, Howard had 23 carries for 111 yards in the Bears’ Week 4 win against the Detroit Lions.
Attention, Dowell Loggains! Do you see a pattern here? When Howard gets the rock, good things happen. The games in Howard has gotten the most carries are all Bears wins. Add that to the playbook!
Other nominees for the FedEx Ground player of the week include Thomas Rawls who posted 106 yards and a TD against the Carolina Panthers while Oakland Raiders RB Latavius Murray rushed for 82 yards and a pair of TD’s in the Raiders’ 38-24 win over the Buffalo Bills.
To vote for Howard, fans can visit NFL.com/FedEx or tweet using #AirandGround and the nominees’ last name to cast their vote. FedEx and the NFL will announce the winners every Thursday afternoon and then FedEx will award a $2,000 donation in the winning players’ names to The USO. Voting closes on Thursday at 3PM Eastern.
