The Los Angeles Rams' offense is loaded with talent.
Most people will say don't just look at box scores or stat sheets to quantify how talented head coach Sean McVay's offense has been this season, but that's all you really need to understand what the Chicago Bears will face in the NFC Divisional Round at Soldier Field.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford led the NFL in passing yards (4,707) and touchdowns (46). Wide receiver Puka Nacua finished second in the league in receiving yards. Running back Kyren Williams ran for 1,252 yards and 10 touchdowns on 259 carries.
Also, McVay ran 13 personnel (three tight ends) more than any team in the NFL during the 2025 regular season (1,086 plays). Just because the Rams deployed three tight ends on the field, that doesn't mean Los Angeles just ran the ball out of those personnel groupings. They are just as lethal as passing from it.
There aren't many weaknesses in this Rams’ offense, and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen understands the challenge his unit will have to go against.
“He (McVay) does a great job,” Allen said. “He does a great job with formations, motions, shifts, those types of things. Personnel trying to create some mismatches. The run game, the things that they do schematically to create angles and get to the right spots and manipulate the defense, try to get the defense in the spots that they need them to, to create the angles. And then, they release guys into routes from unique positions. They'll insert a tight end or a wide receiver through the B gap and run them on vertical routes down the field. So, those things create challenges.”
There are two Rams stats Bears fans should be aware of
Here are two stats that further illustrate how potent the Rams’ offense has been this season, starting with Stafford. According to the Los Angeles Rams PR, Stafford has passed for 300+ yards in 6-of-7 career playoff road games, the most in NFL history.

In the Rams’ 34-21 road win over the Carolina Panthers in the Wild Card, Stafford threw for 304 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Nacua played a huge role in helping the Rams advance to the Divisional Round. The Rams’ wide receiver caught 10 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. In the regular season, Nacua was the best in the NFL at forcing missed tackles.
Puka Nacua led the NFL with 28 missed tackles forced and 402 yards after contact on receptions this season, making him the first player to have gained more than 400 yards after contact on receptions in a season since at least 2018, according to @NextGenStats. pic.twitter.com/AZeE0S187u

For the Bears’ defense to have success, it starts with formulating a plan to mitigate, as much as possible, the effectiveness of Stafford and Nacua.
