The Chicago Tribune’s Dan Pompei is reporting that Rob Chudzinski will not be joining the Bears as their offensive coordinator, so it’s back to the drawing board for the Bears… AGAIN!
This has gone beyond sad and even beyond comical. Now I’m just getting angry about this. What kind of an organization fires half their coaching staff without some sort of a plan? You can’t help but think that no one bothered to think this thing through. And that goes all the way up to Ted Phillips. He’s the president of this organization. Blame the McCaskey’s all you want, but it’s up to the president of the team, to act, um, I don’t know… Presidential once in a while and tell ownership when they’re making a big mistake.
If the old lady still wanted to use leather helmets, it’s up to someone at Halas Hall to tell her that it’s probably not a good idea. Same thing with this whole not firing Lovie. It was a bad idea from get-go, but no one had the balls to make the right decision.
Nearly three weeks have gone by since the circus came to Halas Hall and all the Bears have to show for it are a couple of failed interviews and Mike freaking Tice. 2010 looks like it’s going to be a bust and 2011 appears headed for a lockout. Wake me up in 2012.
