Bears Draft Prospects: A Baker’s Dozen of the Top Safeties

From the looks of this class, there is plenty of depth to go around.   Most of the prospects that appear to be possible targets for the Bears by the time they get around to drafting seem more like Strong Safeties.

I hope that Lovie and Jerry don’t try to fit another square peg into a round hole.  I would rather they grab a true Free Safety candidate than to try to plug in another Strong Safety.

Don’t be surprised if the Bears take a couple of shots at this; one with a 3rd or 4th rounds and another late-round pick.

I would be surprised if the Bears manage to move up to get Allen, but then again, they havev been full of surprises the last couple of seasons.
