Bears Draft Prospects: A Baker’s Dozen of the Top Safeties

6. Chad Jones, 6-2, 225, LSU

Jones is known as a big hitter, which might make him a better fit as a Strong Safety.  Since the Bears are in desperate need of a Free Safety, it doesn’t seem to make much sense for the Bears, but since when have any of their picks ever made any sense.   He is projected as a late second or third rounder, which makes him a consideration for the Bears at #75.
