Matt Forte

2009 stats: 16 games, 929 rushing yards, 471 receiving yards, 4 TD’s

Forte burst onto the scene in his rookie year going off for over 1200 rushing yards and even breaking a Bears rookie record with over 1700 yards from scrimmage, but his sophomore campaign left a lot to be desired.   It was only after the season that we learned that he was suffering from a knee injury.  I could tell watching him that he didn’t have the same burst as his rookie year.  Add a knee injury to a pathetic offensive line a stagnant offensive system and it was a recipe for a bad season.  Look for a bounce back year in 2010.
