How do Bears stack up on All-NFC North Team?

The FanSided Sports network is getting ready to pick the toughest division in football.  Me and my fellow NFC North bloggers, along with your help, have put together a team to represent the division.  Check out the offense, as unveiled by SideLion Report:

"QB: Aaron Rodgers – GBRB: Adrian Peterson – MIN, Jahvid Best – DETWR: Calvin Johnson – DET, Greg Jennings – GBTE: Visanthe Shiancoe – MINLT: Jeff Backus – DETLG: Steve Hutchinson – MINC: Olin Kreutz – CHIRG: Josh Sitton – GBRT: Mark Tauscher – GB"

I guess it’s not a big surprise that the Bears aren’t well represented on offense after a hideous year last season.  I tried to make a case for Cutler, saying that if surrounded by the top talent in the division, he could flourish.

Another disappointment was not getting Matt Forte voted in as the #2 running back behind the Vikings’ Adrian Peterson.  Jahvid Best people?  That’s what you get when you put the power in the peoples’ hands.  Don’t make me get all political here.

The defense is a little better represented by the orange and blue, boasting four Bears:

"DefenseDE: Julius Peppers – CHI, Jared Allen – MINDT: Kevin Williams – MIN, Ndamukong Suh – DETLB: Lance Briggs – CHI, Brian Urlacher – CHI, Clay Matthews – GBCB: Charles Woodson – GB, Charles Tillman – CHIS: Nick Collins – GB, Louis Delmas – DET"

No surprise that Peppers makes the list, even though he’s never suited up in Bears colors.  Meanwhile, the Bears prove to be “linebacker U” with both Urlacher and Briggs making the squad.  Peanut Tillman, though seemingly demoted by the Bears, still carries the reputation to get him a starting nod for the NFC North team at corner.

Don’t worry Bears fans, we own it on Special Team:

"Special TeamsK: Robbie Gould – CHIKR: Percy Harvin -MINPR: Devin Hester – CHI"

Why no punter on the team?  Because with our killer offense, we won’t need one!

So here’s how the team breaks down:

Bears – 7 players

Packers – 7 players

Vikings – 6 players

Lions – 5 players

Way to represent, Chicago!  I don’t know if it’s the die-hard Bears fans or what, but for a team that experts predict to finish a distant 3rd in the division, the Bears sure seem to stack up pretty closely talent-wise.  Be sure to check back next week when we pit our team against the best of the rest of the divisions.

BEAR DOWN!!!
