Few Surprises as Bears Release First Depth Chart

1 of 3

The Bears released their first depth chart of the 2010 season.  They will caution everyone that it’s unofficial and preliminary, yada, yada, yada.  The fact is it gives a little insight into what the coaches are thinking and how some positions are starting to take shape.  Take a peak:

Follow the jump for some things that jumped out at me…

Your top three wide receivers are Johnny Knox, Devin Hester and Devin Aromashodu.  No surprise there.  What is surprising is that Rashied Davis is #4.  Earl Bennett and Juaquin Iglesias are buried at #5 and #6 respectively.   Who does Rashied have naked pictures of?  I will never understand how he hangs around.

It looks like the Roberto Garza at left guarda experiment is more than just an experiment.  Garza is your starter at LG and Lance Louis is the starting right guard.  Josh Beekman looks to be in a battle with Johan Asiata and James Marten to back up on the interior line.  Check out what Garza and starting left tackle Chris Williams have to say about the new look Bears O-line:
