3. Mark Anderson against the run
Yes, Peppers is a beast on one side of the ball. But, is Anderson? If you were a semi-decent OT and Anderson lined up against you, would you think you needed help? I don’t think so. And wouldn’t you just relish bowling him over for an off-tackle run. And how many times has Anderson bit on a fake run inside, only to watch the QB flip the ball to the backside RB for an isolation pitch? Once teams figure out they can run against Anderson, the Bears will have to sacrifice their pass rush schemes. (Personally, I believe that this is THE decision that will make or break Jerry Angelo. Letting Alex Brown go and betting on Mark Anderson could be the single biggest decision that haunts this team throughout the season).
