The Bears bounced back strong against the Panthers last week even without Jay Cutler. Thanks to a strong running game from Matt Forte and a stellar defensive performance (or a piss-poor offensive showing by Carolina) the Bears moved their record to 4-1. Are these guys for real? Time will tell, but enjoy the ride.
The Seahawks come to Soldier Field, but they have struggled on the road. Experts around the interwebs can’t think of a way that the Bears can lose this game. Well, let’s see what our Madden 11 Simulator thinks.
It seems like the Bears and the Seahawks square off just about every year. Last season, the Bears made the trek to the Emerald City and brought home a come-from-behind victory. This year new head coach Pete Carroll brings his band of merry men to Soldier Field. It starts off well enough in Jay Cutler’s return to action as Robbie Gould gets the Bears on the board with a 41-yard field goal. The Seahawks bounce back with a short Matt Hasslebeck TD pass to give Seattle a 7-3 first quarter lead.
Matt Forte picks up where he left off in Carolina, busting off a 36-yard TD run to give the Bears a 10-7 lead:
A sloppy play deep in their own territory costs the Bears as the Seahawks score a TD on a 1-yard fumble recovery. A short while later, Leon Washington caps a Seahawks scoring drive with a 1-yard TD of his own to give the Seahawks a 21-10 lead. Johnny Knox grabs a 3-yard TD pass to bring the Bears back to within a 21-17 deficit heading into the half. This isn’t going the way we expect it, is it?
The third quarter belonged to the visitors as Golden Tate and Justin Forsett each added touchdowns, while a second defensive score blows the game wide open to make it 41-17. A Greg Olsen garbage time TD helped pad his stats, but didn’t do anything to get the Bears a win. In a shocker, the Bears fall to the Seahawks 41-24.

Seems way off to you? Me too. But we never thought the Giants had a chance either, did we?
