Our guy Sam coulda told you the Bears would lose last week. He rubbed his Madden 11 crystal ball and it was right there for him. Believe me, I’m not happy about it, but when you get an upset special right, you’ve got to brag a little. On to the Week 7 matchup with the Redskins.
Donovan McNabb makes yet another trip to Soldier Field, but this time he leads the Washington Redskins. The game starts off slowly, with only two Robbie Gould field goals in the first half to account for the Bears scoring. Ryan Torrain’s 10 yard run late in the half gives the Redskins a 7-6 halftime advantage. Check out the highlight:
Was that Danieal Manning getting a horsie ride into the end zone?
After a quiet 3rd quarter, Matt Forte gets the Bears back in front with a 4 yard TD run.
Being up 12-7 in the 4th quarter, the Bears go for 2 and a Dez Clark conversion gives them a safe 7-point lead.
But Santana Moss’ 62-yard TD catch from Donny Mac ties the game at 14.
The fans get their money’s worth as the Bears and ‘Skins go to Overtime. But in OT, it a Graham Gano’s 31-yarder that seals the Bears’ fate, leading Washington to a 17-14 win.
