Don’t worry Rashied Davis fans. You’ll still get to see ‘Shied twice a year, but it will be in the Honolulu Blue of the Detroit Lions rather than the Orange and Navy of your Chicago Bears. Davis will sign a 1-year deal to jump ship to the division rival Lions. Here’s what Rashied had to say about leaving the Bears:
"“I just want to thank the city of Chicago, and the fans,” Davis said Thursday. “I want to thank the team for giving me an opportunity to play in this league, and for all the great memories with the Super Bowl run, the NFC Championship, and even the rough years.“I still love Chicago. My charitable organization will still be in Chicago. This is my home away from home, second home to California.”"
I’m not going to shed a tear over the loss of Rashied the wide receiver but will definitely miss his contributions on Special Teams. Yes, he had a couple of nice catches for the Bears, but he’s another undersized target that never stood out of offense. The converted Arena League guy has been a staple on the Bears since 2005.
