Bears WR Johnny Knox Taken Off on Stretcher after Scary Collision

facebooktwitterreddit

Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox left Soldier Field on a backboard and in a cart after a scary collision that bent him backwards and left Bears fans reaching for their rosary beads.  After Knox caught a Caleb Hanie pass for a first down, the ball was stripped by Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor.  While scrambling to recover his own fumble, Knox was hit awkwardly by Seahawks DT Anthony Hargrove, bending his back backwards.

A while after Knox left the field with a “thumbs up” sign from the cart, word came from Bears sideline reporter Zach Zaidman that Knox was moving all his extremities.   Knox was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
