The Lions rolled over the San Diego Chargers, capturing their first playoff appearance since 1999. That leaves just one NFC playoff spot at stake. For the Bears, it means winning out and the Atlanta Falcons losing out.
The Bears face the Packers and then head to Minneapolis to face the Adrian Peterson-less Vikings. If you haven’t heard, Peterson tore his ACL in the Vikings’ win over the Redskins on Saturday.
As for the Falcons, they head to the Big Easy for a Monday Night matchup against the Saints. That’s the tough part for them. They host the pitiful Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week in what seems like a cakewalk into the final NFC Playoff seed.
It may not matter if the Bears can’t take care of the Packers and based on how their last 4 games without Jay Cutler have gone, I wouldn’t hold my breath. But there’s still a slight chance. Do you believe in Christmas miracles?
