Only a few more hours left until Bears vs Packers! With the NFL going to a Thursday Night game every week, it has made it difficult for players that get injured on Sunday to make into Thursday nights game. Case in point Greg Jennings, if he’s on your roster he’s more than likely your best fantasy receiver, is listed as doubtful and unlikely to play even though reports say he wants to play. If you have Jennings on your team what do you do? If you have capable back ups you obviously start them, but if you don’t it could be a decision between Randall Cobb and James Jones off the waiver wire.
Almost every fantasy expert is saying to pick up Cobb for Jennings, but I say pick up Jones. Jones is the true backup WR that has the potential to have a big game if he doesn’t start getting a case of the drops. If your league has return yardage in it then Cobb is the right choice. Now on to tonight’s players, and don’t forget to set your lineup!
Jay Cutler- He’s very start able tonight especially after Alex Smith put up over 250 yards and 2 TD’s Sunday. Cutler has done a lot of talking this week, hopefully he can back it up like the last and only Bears QB to win a Super Bowl could.
Matt Forte- He hasn’t fared to well in Lambeau but this is a new offense going up against a much weaker defense. You drafted him to be a star so put him in your lineup.
Brandon Marshall- The stat everyone is talking about is Marshall’s 10 for 130 yard performance as a Dolphin in Lambeau… I’ll take that or something close to it. Must Start
Alshon Jeffery, Earl Bennett- Unless your incredibly thin these guys are still sitting on your bench this week
Bears D- Look for other options if they are available. Hester does have some big returns in Lambeau field though.
Green Bay
Aaron Rodgers- Must start any league any format any week.
Cedric Benson- Tossup! Green Bay doesn’t run the ball well and the Bears defend it well, but Benson scorched the Bears last time they played in Cincy. If you have other options I would lean that way
Greg Jennings- Bench
Jordy Nelson- Tale of two games last season. First meeting 3-40 2nd meeting 6-115 2TDs He probably ends up somewhere in the middle so I would start him.
Jermichael Finley- He destroys the Bears. He is a start tonight if he’s on your roster
James Jones/ Randall Cobb- They only get started if you are out of options
Basically it’s green light for most players tonight as this should not be a boring defensive battle, but could be decided on which offense has the ball last in the fourth quarter!
Other Fantasy Games
– Avoid this game in survivor league.
– Confidence leagues I have the Bears winning, and it would go under tossup game 1-3 confidence points
Good Luck in your leagues and hopefully we are celebrating a Bears victory tonight!!!
