The fines keep on arriving at Halas Hall this week.  First Brian Urlacher received a nearly 16k fine for his horse collar tackle of Adrian Peterson, and later today it was announced that Jay Cutler received a 10K fine for his ball flip during the Vikings game last Sunday.

I’m fine (no pun intended) on the NFL punishing Cutler for a pee wee football taunting act, but the fact that Cutler gets 10k for clowning around and Jared Allen only gets 21K for ending another players season with a cheap shot seems to be slightly unfair.  Jared sent Lance Louis to surgery and months of rehab and it only cost him 11k more than a few seconds of childish behavior by Cutler.  The NFL fines department needs to make the fines equal the act!  A player’s health in this day and age should be of the highest value to the NFL, and fines for cheap shots should be made to make players really feel it in their wallet!

What do you think? Should the fines fit the crime?
