Two weeks left in Confidence leagues and if you are still in… a big hearty congratulations!  Ironically, in my big league it only took 7 weeks to eliminate 1050 out of 1147 players, but since the NFL has kind of all calmed down with the crazy games only 75 teams have been knocked out in the past 8 weeks.  The real question for those of you left is do you have any good choices left to choose from to make it to the end of the road?

Since most people have used all the big guys I have an interesting pick for you that is based totally on the opponent and last week and not the totality of the season.  The Panthers finally played a complete game on both sides of the ball last week and they finally stuck to their guns and ran the ball with conviction in San Diego.  What makes this pick even better is that the Panthers get the lowly Raiders in Charlotte.

If you somehow still have them pick.

Packers over the Titans.  The only danger is that the Packers will sleep walk through this game since they clinched the NFC North last week, but in the end their talent should lead them to an easy victory.

The Homer Pick

Panthers over the Raiders- this just tells you how badly the Raiders have failed this season.

The Manning sweepstakes

Broncos over the Browns- You have to admire the fact that when on the field Peyton Manning just wins football games.

While Confidence picking was shaky the first 1/2 of the season I’ve been pretty solid throughout the second half of the season. This week looks like an easy week to pick with so many favorite teams at home versus easy teams but just when you think picking games is easy it becomes upset city(Not to quote Dick Vitale)!
