The NFC North division rival Detroit Lions are on the clock, drafting in the #5 spot. After a huge 2011 season, the Lions reverted to their familiar ways. In one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, they need to shore up some things to have a bounceback 2013 season.
They’ve lost a couple of defensive ends with the departures of Kyle Vanden Bosch and and Cliff Avril, so a position that was a strength a couple of years ago, the defensive line, is a big area of need. The Lions also need to shore up their secondary. They brought back Louis Delmas but they’ll need more help in that area. Offensive line is also a need to help keep Matthew Stafford protected and allow new free agent acquisition Reggie Bush to do his thing.

Top Prospects
Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma

With Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher off the board, do the Lions reach for Lane Johnson? Do they take the top cornerback to bolster their secondary? Does one of the top defensive ends make sense?
