The New York Giants are next up in our Reader’s Mock Draft as we have nearly reached the pick for our Chicago Bears. There are still plenty of good players available, so it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
The Giants ended up with a winning 9-7 record, but after starting the season 6-2, missing the playoffs is now how the Super Bowl XLVI champs wanted their 2012 campaign to go.
Gone are Martellus Bennett (thanks Giants!), Ahmad Bradshaw and Osi Umenyiora. They re-signed OT Will Beatty and brought in a couple of veteran DT’s like Cullen Jenkins and Shaun Rogers. Victor Cruz has been tendered but hasn’t signed it yet, which could get sticky if they can’t reach agreement.
Will the Giants grab a defensive end or defensive tackle? With the top offensive tackle prospects off the board, will the Giants wait until a later round to grab a lineman? Could they grab a linebacker out from under the Bears? Could Irish eyes be smiling?
