The Chicago Bears may be done with the draft, but they’re still busily trying to add some more pieces via the through the undrafted free agent market.  The Bears have had success tapping into the undrafted free agent market in the past with such fringe players as offensive lineman James Brown, wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher and safety Anthony Walters.

Here is an unofficial list of  undrafted free agents and tryout players, via the Chicago Tribune website:

LB Tunde Bakare, Kansas

QB Jimmy Coy, St. Xavier, tryout

WR Demetrius Fields, Northwestern

RB Michael Ford, LSU, contract

WR Mark Harrison, Rutgers, contract

LS Brandon Hartson, Memphis

CB Demontre Hurst Oklahoma, contract

WR Josh Lenz, Iowa State, contract

C P.J. Lonegran, LSU, contract

DT Zach Minter, Montana State, contract

WR Marcus Rucker, Memphis, contract

DT Brent Russell, Georgia Southern, contract

P Tress Way, Oklahoma, contract

CB C.J. Wilson, N.C. State

There are some interesting prospects among these players, most notably wide receiver Mark Harrison out of Rutgers.  He was a fairly well regarded prospect, but his hotel room at the Indianapolis Scouting Combine was trashed and his draft stock dropped.

Another interesting player is NC State cornerback CJ Wilson.  He ran a 4.34 40-yard dash and since the Bears didn’t pick up any cornerbacks in the draft, he could have a shot to compete for a roster spot.
