2012 #67– Chris Johnson RB Tennessee Titans- Johnson is the closest running back to Barry Sanders our generation has seen with his either all or nothing games. Johnson is now four seasons away from his 2,000 yard season and though he shows flashes of that magical 2009 season he comes no where close to that level. Johnson is a top 10-15 back but will probably be gone by the 2nd round by name only. He is in a young inconsistent offense so you have been warned.
Retro-#67 2002– Jimmy Smith WR Jacksonville Jaguars- Smith is one of the best Jaguars of all-time and was very consistent during his career after arriving in J-ville. Smith would get 1,000 yards receiving and 8 TD’s. Smith would get drafted after Marvin Harrison, Terrell Owens, and Randy Moss yearly, but Smith was usually just as productive if not better than that trio.
Looking Ahead #67
ESPN-Mike Wallace Wr- Miami Dolphins- Wallace finally got out of Pittsburgh and now he has Ryan Tannehill as his quarterback. Will he be great or just another free agent wide receiver to flounder in his new address?
CBS– Steve Smith WR Carolina Panthers- Smith is best when he’s pissed off and he seemed really pissed off in the 2nd half of 2012 and had another 1,000 yard receiving season. Smith always has great days against the Bears with his playoff game one of his career highlight games. As annoyingly unpredictable as the Panthers running game can be, Smith is very consistent!
