Brian Urlacher will be in a unique position this fall, one that he’s not accustomed to.  Like most of us, he’ll be parked in front of his big screen watching the games instead of playing in them.  While he’ll be cheering on his former team, he’s not all in with his support.

"“I’m going for them,” Urlacher said. “A lot of my friends are still on the team. A lot of my good friends — guys I played with for 10, 11 years, so I’m still rooting for them; I hope they do well. They better not win the championship without me, ’cause then I’ll be really pissed.”"

As Kevin Patra points out in the NFL.com article, Urlacher’s sense of humor make it tough to really be sure that he’s serious.  I guess it’s not completely surprising that Urlacher would be frustrated to miss out on a ring, I still think that if push came to shove, he would be thrilled to see his former teammates win the Lombardi Trophy.

What do you think?  Would Urlacher really be pissed if the Bears won the title?  You know what?  I’d love to find out firsthand.
