Chicago Bears rookie linebacker Jon Bostic isn’t going to make Bears fans completely forget Brian Urlacher just yet, but he’s made a couple of eyebrow raising plays in his first couple of preseason games with the Bears.
Last week, Bostic made an athletic interception and returned it 51 yards for a touchdown. This week, Bostic showed that he’s a bit of a thumper too, bringing the pain to Chargers wide receiver Mike Willie coming across the middle. Just watch this, but buckle up your chin strap before you do.
The play was ruled incomplete, though I though there was enough of a football move made by the receiver to be considered a fumble.
Bostic continues to make a strong showing for the Bears’ rookie class. Fellow rookies Kyle Long and Jordan Mills started on the right side of the Bears offensive line and were impressive in their time on the field.
