Bears Safety, Major Wright recently made a Major Mistake.  No he didn’t get burned on a skinny post when he has over-the-top responsibility.  This time Wright made a bad investment and defaulted on a loan to purchase rare African diamonds as reported by TMZ.

“Man, I was told, this investment was good as gold,” said Wright.  “My man said I could quadruple my investment, but then it go belly up and what I am supposed to do?”

The report alleges Wright borrowed $75,000 from loan sharks with a promise to repay it with 100% interest.  Wright has since not repaid the funds and because the promised rate of interest was more than allowed by Florida law, the loan sharks are not allowed to pursue legal action.

“People think I’m a dumb football player, but I’m really a playa and I knew my hustle,” joked Wright.  “I’m planning on paying the money back.  In fact, I just got an email from this cat in Nigeria saying he gonna deposit $2.5 mil in my bank account tomorrow.  I gave him my account numbers, so we all set.  Those fools will get repaid.”
