After that 2010 Redskins game, Boomer wrote up a post regarding his fear of the season being over.  I, as well as many Bears fans, felt the same way as he did. I thought there was no way the Bears could pull it together. He mentioned that Greg Olsen was pretty useless as a tight end, and he was right. At that point, Olsen hadn’t been used correctly and looked lost on the field. I feel the same way about another first round pick, but this one is a defensive end. Olsen ended up having a pretty good year with the Bears, so why couldn’t Shea McClellin pick it up a bit?

Both these games were games the Bears should have won. In the 2010 edition, Cutler fumbled on the goal line on a first and goal sneak attempt. He clearly broke the plane, but Lovie Smith didn’t challenge. DeAngelo Hall picked off Cutler 4 times, one of which was taken back 92 yards for the game winning score in the third quarter.

This game, Chris Conte and Major Wright misplayed pass after pass, resulting in rookie tight end Jordan Reed to have a monster game. Both of these games were truly disasters, leaving Bears fans frustrated beyond belief. These two games sent the Bears into their bye week with a 4-3 record, after starting the season with 3 consecutive competitive wins. It would be nice to make a run. Let’s just hope for the best!
