Some injuries are more serious than others. Cutler and Briggs are rushing back, Peanut is punching his way through his lingering injuries while Hank Melton and DJ Williams suffer through season ending injuries.

For the Bears to survive their injuries, others will have to step up.  Josh McCown will step in for Jay Cutler and run the offense.  Fans were encouraged by what the offense did in the second half of the Redskins with McCown at the helm.

Rookies Jon Bostic and Khaseem Greene will step in for linebackers Williams and Briggs.  It will be really challenging for these inexperienced guys to call the signals and get the struggling defense in the right spots.

Corey Wootton has been doing an admirable job filling in for Melton, sliding over from defensive end to 3-technique defensive tackle for injured Melton and Nick Collins, who ended up on the cutting room floor of the Halloween video.

Let’s hope Peanut can pack a punch and regain his form with a couple of weeks off.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
